For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;1:8 乐意接待远人,好善,庄重,公平,圣洁,自持。But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;1:9 坚守所教真实的道理,就能将纯正的教训劝化人。 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.1:10 因为有许多人不服约束,说虚空话,欺哄人。 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:1:11 这些人的口总要堵住。 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.1:12 有克里特人中的一个本地先知说,克里特人常说谎话,乃是恶兽,又馋又懒。One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.1:13 这个见证是真的。 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;1:14 不听犹太人荒渺的言语,和离弃真道之人的诫命。Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.1:15 在洁净的人,凡物都洁净。 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.1:16 他们说是认识神行事却和他相背。 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:2:2 劝老年人,要有节制,端庄,自守,在信心爱心忍耐上,都要纯全无疵。That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.2:3 又劝老年妇人,举止行动要恭敬,不说谗言,不给酒作奴仆,用善道教训人。The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;2:4 好指教少年妇人,爱丈夫,爱儿女,That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,2:5 谨守贞洁,料理家务,待人有恩,顺服自己的丈夫,免得神的道理被毁谤。To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.2:6 又劝少年人要谨守。Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.2:7 你自己凡事要显出善行的榜样,在教训上要正直,端庄,In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,2:8 言语纯全,无可指责,叫那反对的人,既无处可说我们的不是,便自觉羞愧。Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.2:9 劝仆人要顺服自己的主人,凡事讨他的喜欢。 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;2:10 不可私拿东西。 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.2:11 因为神救众人的恩典,已经显明出来,For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,2:12 教训我们除去不敬虔的心,和世俗的情欲,在今世自守,公义,敬虔度日。Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;2:13 等候所盼望的福,并等候至大的神,和(或作无和字)我们救主耶稣基督的荣耀显现。Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;2:14 他为我们舍了自己,要赎我们脱离一切罪恶,又洁净我们,特作自己的子民,热心为善。Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.2:15 这些事你要讲明,劝戒人,用各等权柄责备人。 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,3:2 不要毁谤,不要争竞,总要和平,向众人大显温柔。To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.3:3 我们从前也是无知,悖逆,受迷惑,服事各样私欲和宴乐,常存恶毒(或作阴毒)嫉妒的心,是可恨的,又是彼此相恨。For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.3:4 但到了神我们救主的恩慈,和他向人所施的慈爱显明的时候,But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,3:5 他便救了我们,并不是因我们自己所行的义,乃是照他的怜悯,藉着重生的洗,和圣灵的更新。Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;3:6 圣灵就是神藉着耶稣基督我们救主,厚厚浇灌在我们身上的。Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;3:7 好叫我们因他的恩得称为义,可以凭着永生的盼望成为后嗣。 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.3:8 这话是可信的,我也愿你把这些事,切切实实的讲明,使那些已信神的人,留心作正经事业。 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.3:9 要远避无知的辩论,和家谱的空谈,以及分争,并因律法而起的争竞。 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.3:10 分门结党的人,警戒过一两次,就要弃绝他。A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;3:11 因为知道这等人已经背道,犯了罪,自己明知不是,还是去作。Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.3:12 我打发亚提马,或是推基古,到你那里去的时候,你要赶紧往尼哥波立去见我。 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.3:13 你要赶紧给律师西纳,和亚波罗送行,叫他们没有缺乏。Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.3:14 并且我们的人要学习升经事业,(或作要学习行善)豫备所需用的,免得不结果子。And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.3:15 同我在一处的人都问你安。 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,1:2 和妹子亚腓亚,并与我们同当兵的亚基布,以及在你家的教会。And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:1:3 愿恩惠平安,从神我们的父,和主耶稣基督,归与你们。Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.1:4 我祷告的时候题到你,常为你感谢我的神。I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,1:5 因听说你的爱心,并你向主耶稣和众圣徒的信心。(或作因听说你向主耶稣和众圣徒有爱心有信心)Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;1:6 愿你与人所同有的信心显出功效,使人知道你们各样善事都是为基督作的。That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.1:7 兄弟阿,我为你的爱心,大有快乐,大得安慰。 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.1:8 我虽然靠着基督能放胆吩咐你合宜的事。Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,1:9 然而像我这有年纪的保罗,现在又是为基督耶稣被囚的,宁可凭爱心求你。Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.1:10 就是为我在捆锁中所生的儿子阿尼西母(此名就是有益处的意思)求你。I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:1:11 他从前与你没有益处,但如今与你我都有益处。Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:1:12 我现在打发他亲自回你那里去。 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:1:13 我本来有意将他留下,在我为福音所受的捆锁中替你伺候我。Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:1:14 但不知道你的意思,我不愿意这样行,叫你的善行不是出于勉强,乃是出于甘心。But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.1:15 他暂时离开你,或者是叫你永远得着他。For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;1:16 不再是奴仆,乃是高过奴仆,是亲爱的兄弟,在我实在是如此,何况在你呢。 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?1:17 你若以我为同伴,就收纳他,如同收纳我一样。If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.1:18 他若亏负你,或欠你什么,都归在我的账上。If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;1:19 我必偿还。 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.1:20 兄弟阿,望你使我在主里因你得快乐。 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.1:21 我写信给你,深信你必顺服,知道你所要行的,必过于我所说的。Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.1:22 此外你还要给我豫备住处,因为我盼望藉着你们的祷告,必蒙恩到你们那里去。But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.1:23 为基督耶稣与我同坐监的以巴弗问你安。There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;1:24 与我同工的马可,亚里达古,底马,路加,也都问你安。 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,1:2 就在这末世,藉着他儿子晓谕我们,又早已立他为承受万有的,也曾藉着他创造诸世界。Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;1:3 他是神荣耀所发的光辉,是神本体的真像,常用他权能的命令托住万有,他洗净了人的罪,就坐在高天至大者的右边。Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;1:4 他所承受的名,既比天使的名更尊贵,就远超过天使。Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.1:5 所有的天使,神从来对那一个说,你是我的儿子,我今日生你。 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?1:6 再者,神使长子到世上来的时候,(或作神再使长子到世上来的时候)就说,神的使者都要拜他。And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.1:7 论到使者,又说,神以风为使者,以火焰为仆役。And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.1:8 论到子却说,神阿,你的宝座是永永远远的,你的国权是正直的。But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.1:9 你喜爱公义,恨恶罪恶。 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.1:10 又说,主阿,你起初立了地的根基,天也是你手所造的。And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:1:11 天地都要灭没,你却要长存。 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;1:12 你要将天地卷起来,像一件外衣,天地都改变了。 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.1:13 所有的天使,神从来对那一个说,你坐在我的右边,等我使你仇敌作你的脚凳。But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?1:14 天使岂不都是服役的灵,奉差遣为那将要承受救恩的人效力吗。Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.2:2 那藉着天使所传的话,既是确定的,凡干犯悖逆的,都受了该受的报应。For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;2:3 我们若忽略这吗大的救恩,怎能逃罪呢。 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;2:4 神又按自己的旨意,用神迹奇事,和百般的异能,并圣灵的恩赐,同他们作见证。God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?2:5 我们所说将来的世界,神原没有交给天使管辖。For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.2:6 但有人在经上某处证明说,人算什么,你竟顾念他,世人算什么,你竟眷顾他。But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?2:7 你叫他比天使微小一点,(或作你叫他暂时比天使小)赐他荣耀尊贵为冠冕,并将你手所造的都派他管理。Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:2:8 叫万物都服在他的脚下。 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.2:9 惟独见那成为比天使小一点的耶稣,(或作惟独见耶稣暂时比天使小)因为受死的苦,就得了尊贵荣耀为冠冕,叫他因着神的恩,为人人尝了死味。But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.2:10 原来那为万物所属,为万物所本的,要领许多的儿子进荣耀里去,使救他们的元帅,因受苦难得以完全,本是合宜的。For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.2:11 因那使人成圣的,和那些得以成圣的,都是出于一。 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,2:12 说,我要将你的名传与我的弟兄,在会中我要颂杨你。Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.2:13 又说,我要倚赖他。 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.2:14 儿女既同有血肉之体,他也照样亲自成了血肉之体。 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;2:15 并要释放那些一生因怕死而为奴仆的人。And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.2:16 他并不救拔天使,乃是救拔亚伯拉罕的后裔。For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.2:17 所以他凡事该与他的弟兄相同,为要在神的事上,成为慈悲忠信的大祭司,为百姓的罪献上挽回祭。Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.2:18 他自己既然被试探而受苦,就能搭救被试探的人。For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;3:2 他为那设立他的尽忠,如同摩西在神的全家尽忠一样。Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.3:3 他比摩西算是更配多得荣耀,好像建造房屋的比房屋更尊荣。For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.3:4 因为房屋都必有人建造。 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.3:5 摩西为仆人,在神的全家诚然尽忠,为要证明将来必传说的事。And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;3:6 但基督为儿子,治理神的家。 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.3:7 圣灵有话说,你们今日若听他的话,Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,3:8 就不可硬着心,像在旷野惹他发怒,试探他的时候一样。Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:3:9 在那里,你们的祖宗试我探我,并且观看我的作为,有四十年之久。When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.3:10 所以我厌烦那世代的人,说,他们心里常常迷糊,竟不晓得我的作为。Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.3:11 我就在怒中起誓说,他们断不可进入我的安息。So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)3:12 弟兄们,你们要谨慎,免得你们中间,或有人存着不信的恶心,把永生神离弃了。Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.3:13 总要趁着还有今日,天天彼此相劝,免得你们中间,有人被罪迷惑,心里就刚硬了。But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.3:14 我们若将起初确实的信心,坚持到底,就在基督里有分了。For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;3:15 经上说,你们今日若听他的话,就不可硬着心,像惹他发怒的日子一样。While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.3:16 那时听见他话惹他发怒的是谁呢。 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.3:17 神四十年之久,又厌烦谁呢。 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?3:18 又向谁起誓,不容他们进入他的安息呢。 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?3:19 这样看来,他们不能进入安息,是因为不信的缘故了。So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.4:2 因为有福音传给我们,像传给他们一样。 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.4:3 但我们已经相信的人,得以进入那安息,正如神所说,我在怒中起誓说,他们断不可进入我的安息。 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.4:4 论到第七日,有一处说,到第七日神就歇了他一切的工。
